Media and Communications Industry Architect

As a Media and Communications Industry Architect, you will have global responsibility for Salesforce Media architecture and will be responsible for designing enterprise class, innovative, scalable, secure and extensible technical solutions in the Media industry. You will be responsible for functional and technical architecture design as well as advising Salesforce Media and Communications customers on technical implementation approach and design. You will be responsible for data modeling, designing integrations and application components, assessing the test framework, designing technical product packaging, and assessing architectural risks. Your incredible communication and presentation skills, ability to work harmoniously within a team as a leader and a contributor will be critical to the successful delivery of the next generation salesforce solutions and salesforce deployments. You will proactively engage with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Enterprise Architects, Solution Consultants, and Customer Success, as well as our Media and Communications customers, to design forward looking solutions by fostering an environment of openness, analytical thinking. You will be an influencer and energizer that enables the team to collaborate towards a joint vision for Salesforce's industry innovation and customer success. With this position, you can expect to be hands on with product architecture.

Requirements

    • 8+ years experience in an architect or software development role in a major software domain (e.g. CRM, ERP) for mid to large sized organization with demonstrated leadership driving transformation in a matrixed organization
    • Media Industry domain experience including working with broadcasting, studios, publishing or new media.
    • Experience with industry business processes for media (ad tech, mar tech, ad sales) and for communications (Concept to Care processes such as order management, fulfillment and billing).
    • Drive critical architecture decisions with adherence to industry standards and best practices in domains such as: Security and Identity Management, Performance, Integration, Analytics, Mobile, Master Data Management, Release Management and Development Lifecycle.
    • Experience designing enterprise applications at consumer web scale, with proven ability to analyze, design, and/or optimize functional and technical requirements.
    • A good understanding of the architectural principles of cloud based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, metadata management and multi-tiered infrastructure
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to evangelize best practices at various levels within a large organization.
    • Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies
    • Deep expertise in defining and maintaining integration architecture
    • Experience with designing enterprise workflow, SOA, Enterprise Identity Management, API design including experience designing REST resources
    • Deep understanding of master data management, metadata management, enterprise systems integration design and implementation techniques
    • Deep understanding of software data modeling, object oriented design best practices and tools
    • Experience with agile development methodology and large scale transformation project
    • Experience with object oriented design and implementation
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business or a related field.
    • Ability to travel internationally

Preferred Experience
    • Salesforce development or architecture certification
    • Experience with data migration strategies
    • 3+ years of Force.com development experience
    • Highly beneficial to have relevant Salesforce Certification . It is expected that you will gain the following certifications (Administrator, Marketing Cloud) as part of the role requirement and on-boarding process in the first 3 months
