Role Description:
Heroku is looking for technology sales professionals with a proven track record of exceeding quota in technology or platform sales. You'll be working in our fun and biggest growth segment selling the Heroku Enterprise Platform to high-growth start-ups under 50 employees within a large regional territory. You'll have the autonomy to formulate and execute a sales strategy of your own to grow revenue within the current customer base and develop new customers. Even better, you won't have to sell alone. You'll work in partnership with Salesforce Account Executives and our Heroku Online sales team who will help cultivate new sales leads to further expand your sales pipeline.   • Accurately forecasting sales activity and revenue within Salesforce CRM
  • Participate in regional forecast calls and account planning sessions regularly
  • Create and provide valuable sales content and deliver compelling training presentations to enable Salesforce Account Executives to identify potential Heroku opportunties on your behalf
  • Thoroughly qualify leads & sales opportunities
  • Travel as needed for customer meetings and Salesforce hub visits within your assigned region

Required Skills:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling software technology solutions
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand architecture, open-source technologies and development languages
  • Track record of being a top performer
  • Appetite for success, competitive spirit and willing to work on a team to reach goals
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Desired Skills:
  • Background in technology and platform solutions such as application development, database, business intelligence, and/or integration
  • Demonstrated ability to sell large scale and complex systems
  • Strong knowledge of the competitive products, solutions and sales tactics
  • Creative with strong problem solving skills and the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to work well as part of an extended sales team
  • Experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and application development
