Job Description

The Portfolio Owner is a billable, customer-facing account leadership role in Adobe's Professional Services team. Reporting to a Practice Director, the Portfolio Owner owns a segment of customer accounts in a practice portfolio and is accountable to oversee the successful delivery of those consulting engagements and foster the ongoing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Ownership
  • Own the success of a defined segment of customer accounts in an industry practice, including customer leadership, account growth, and consulting business KPIs
  • Maintain regular and appropriate communication with customer and internal teams at multiple organizational levels (from engineering teams to C-level executives)
  • Work with operational teams to coordinate staffing, reporting, and business metrics
  • Provide accurate forecasts
  • Review backlog on a consistent basis and ensure projects are actively delivering
  • Elevate and inspire your project teams through caring, effective leadership
  • Ensure proper project management, program governance, resource management and financial controls are maintained by the project teams

Customer Leadership
  • Engage customers as a Client Partner, being the single point of ownership from a delivery relationship perspective
  • Apply Adobe's consulting methodology, apprentice others in the methodology, and drive continuous improvements in our ways of working
  • Be an active leader/sponsor in the delivery of projects with a 50% billable target
  • Attend periodic customer executive and steering committee meetings
  • Drive account strategies aimed at up-leveling customer engagement
  • Help customers build capabilities and manage change
  • Manage customer escalations and drive them to resolution
  • Drive project change requests and extensions
  • Surface opportunities for additional work
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success Managers to manage customer relationships
  • Actively engage in scope definition and pre-sales review for your accounts
  • Achieve customer satisfaction through successful delivery of a defined scope and successful realization of key business objectives and metrics


Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in a consulting and/or technology professional services organization, management experience preferred
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role, up to and including C-suite executives
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically to drive outcomes
  • Proven track record of managing stakeholders and cross-team collaboration
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including executive presentations
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • High level of energy and personal drive; acts with a sense of urgency
  • Comfortable working in a sometimes ambiguous and continuously changing environment
  • Experience with one or more of the following preferred: digital marketing (e.g., web content management, rich internet applications, web and social analytics, online ad targeting, content personalization), technology/software/SAAS concepts, custom software development processes and methodologies (including managing Agile projects), technology project management and governance, SFDC
  • Ability to travel to Adobe offices and customer locations as needed, up to 30% travel requirement annually
